There is a part of you that understands all things. That part of you is called your higher self. There has been much written on this subject, but you may find it difficult to uncover any real techniques that will enable you to make contact and maintain that contact. The higher self is actually your soul. As you grow and expand, so does the higher self. It expands in the sense that your ego-self will become more and more aware of it. Once this awareness becomes established you will become more powerful. Period. Want to achieve everything you were meant to? Want to operate at your psychic/magickal best? The answer lies within fusing the physical self with the higher self. The following technique was designed specifically to do just that. This should be done on a regular basis. Do it whenever you feel compelled to.

First of all, where is the soul/higher self? We all feel it in our hearts, bit it's actually located in the head, in our third eye. Our third eye has two parts. The pituitary gland, the gland that assists us with wonderful things like daydreams, every day thoughts, and fantasies, is located between our physical eyes and just above our noses (just like in the picture above). There is a second gland, about the same size, located a few inches behind the pituitary almost in the centre of the head. This is called the pineal gland and it is where we access our soul/higher self. These two glands are separated by thick tissue, so we have to create a 'psychic bridge' in order for them to connect. Creating this bridge is actually quite simple. Sit comfortably in a chair with your eyes closed and imagine as though you are breathing through your third eye. You may even feel the sensation of cool and warm as you inhale and exhale in your third eye as you continue your breathing. Once you feel comfortable with your breathing, use the power of visualization and 'see' a vortex of bright white light connecting these two glands. Visualize the light growing stronger and brighter with every inhale and exhale. With this type of exersize, the glands will eventually grow larger and become closer to each other. Visualizing this psychic bridge is the key to opening and awakening everything you are. Once you become proficient breathing through your third eye and visualizing the psychic bridge with your eyes closed, you may try doing the same technique with your eyes open. Once you establish this type of connection, you can perform this technique throughout your day, even while you're at work. You have no limits. Telepathy, clairvoyance, energy transfer.... you are about to experience a whole new world. The higher self is linked with the Daeg and Man runes.
